The Bias-Cut Gown
The 1930s brought the elegant bias-cut gown, sewn on the diagonal so the fabric flowed over the body. After the boyish flapper years, fashion returned to a soft, feminine silhouette. These long satin and silk dresses were the height of evening glamour.
