The Flapper Dress
The flapper dress dropped the waistline to the hip and ended at the knee, freeing women to dance the Charleston with ease. Beads, fringe, and shimmering fabric caught the light in dance halls and speakeasies. It marked a sharp break from the tight corsets of earlier years.
