Adopted as a baby and raised in small-town Star, Mississippi, Audrey Faith Perry moved to Nashville in the late 1980s to chase music. Her 1993 debut Take Me as I Am launched her, but the crossover success of 'This Kiss' from 1998's Faith made her a pop-country phenomenon. The 1999 album Breathe cemented her as one of country's biggest crossover stars.
