Iranian media also reported that one U.S. strike hit a wedding ceremony in the town of Kuhestak, killing at least four people and wounding at least 35.
Iran retaliated by launching ballistic missiles toward U.S. bases in Jordan, per a U.S. official. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it launched a heavy ballistic missile attack on the American Marines' barracks in Jordan. Jordan's military said its air defense systems engaged 13 ballistic missiles that entered the Kingdom's airspace, successfully intercepting and destroying 10 of them, while three missiles fell in remote areas far from populated centers.
CENTCOM said the strikes follow recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against American service members deployed to the region. President Trump threatened a more severe response if Iran tried to hit back, saying that if Iran retaliates, it will be hit again at a much harder and higher level.
