Peak Design releases modular Field Bracket with built-in Apple AirTag slot

Peak Design introduced a new camera bracket that holds an AirTag for tracking. The modular Field Bracket attaches to most cameras and bags.
Peak Design has launched its new Field Bracket, a modular mounting system for cameras that includes a built-in slot for an Apple AirTag.
The bracket lets photographers attach an AirTag directly to their camera body or bag without extra straps or cases. It works with Peak Design's existing Capture Clip system, which lets users clip a camera to a belt, backpack strap or vest for quick access.
The company designed the bracket with a recessed area that holds the AirTag securely. Users can swap the tag in and out as needed. The bracket also includes standard 1/4-20 tripod threads and Arca-Swiss compatibility for use with other mounts.
Peak Design sells the Field Bracket for $60. It comes in black or sage colors. The product targets outdoor and travel photographers who move between different shooting setups.
The bracket adds to Peak Design's lineup of camera accessories that emphasize quick access and organization. The company has built a following among photographers for its slim, functional gear that fits into everyday carry bags.
AirTags have become popular among people who frequently lose or misplace expensive equipment. Many photographers already attach them to camera bodies, lenses and bags using third-party holders. Peak Design's version integrates the tracker into the mounting hardware itself.
The product launched this week and is available now on the company's website and through major camera retailers.
Go Deeper
What exactly does the Field Bracket do?
It is a mounting plate that clips onto a camera and lets you quickly attach it to a strap or bag. The built-in slot holds an AirTag so you can track the camera's location if it gets lost.
How much does it cost and where can I buy it?
Peak Design sells the Field Bracket for $60. It is available directly from their website and at many camera stores online and in person.
Will it work with any camera?
It works with most cameras that have a standard tripod socket on the bottom. The bracket also fits Peak Design's Capture Clip system for easy carrying.
Do I need to buy a separate AirTag?
Yes. The bracket has a slot for an Apple AirTag but does not include one. You will need to purchase the AirTag separately from Apple.
Why would a photographer want this over a regular case or strap?
It keeps the tracker built into the mount so there are no extra dangling parts. Photographers who switch between different bags or shooting styles can keep tracking without adding bulk.
